Blum AVENTOS top Range Review

Since 2005, Blum's AVENTOS range has been the ideal solution for front-lifting wall cabinets. As with any other product it has been developed and refined, and now three years after the HK top variant was launched in 2021, Blum have announced 'top' variations to replace their existing AVENTOS HF, AVENTOS HL and AVENTOS HS systems.

The new 'top' versions bring with them numerous benefits, opening up a wealth of opportunities to KBB fitters who may have previously not explored or offered the front-lifting capabilities to their end-customers.

The latest variants of the HF, HL and HS lift systems have been designed to be minimalistic but with enhanced functionality; a condensed range with fewer components while retaining complete design freedom. And while the lift applications of each variant haven't changed, the whole range has been streamlined and harmonised, so that it's even easier to order and fit an AVENTOS top system.

AVENTOS HF top - for fronts that fold up

The AVENTOS HF top bi-fold lift system allows the implementation of large wall cabinets with bi-fold fronts. It gives a multitude of design options for high and mid wall cabinets. Narrow-or wide aluminium frames, different material combinations or asymmetrical fronts - everything is possible with AVENTOS HF top.

AVENTOS HS top - for fronts that swing up and over

Large one-part fronts can be opened with ease. The lift system swings up and over the cabinet, giving easy access to storage items while preserving a gap between the front and cabinet top edge, ideal when integrating cornice or crown mouldings into a room design.

AVENTOS HL top - for fronts that lift up

AVENTOS HL top is well suited for cabinets that are positioned above and on worktops. The lift up fitting can be used in cabinets up to 580 mm high and 1800 mm wide. With a cabinet mounted on the worktop, electrical appliances can be concealed behind the front.

AVENTOS HK top - for fronts that pivot up

When there is limited space over a wall cabinet or tall cabinet, AVENTOS HK top is the preferred solution. The stay lift front barely protrudes above the cabinet, so that a low ceiling height is no obstacle. Even large and heavy wall cabinet fronts can be opened with ease. For handle-less fronts, SERVO-DRIVE and TIP-ON motion technologies provide electrical and mechanical support respectively.

AVENTOS HK-S - for small wall cabinets

If there's space above a tall cabinet, it can readily accommodate a lift system. Thanks to its compact design, AVENTOS HK-S is the ideal fitting for small wall cabinets. In tall cabinets, the lift system offers practical storage solutions for rarely used items. The front lifts up and out of the way, giving you easy access to contents.

AVENTOS HK-XS - for small wall cabinets

Small stay lifts in tall and wall cabinets ensure plenty of creative scope even where space is limited. The slim AVENTOS HK-XS fitting solution can also be used on one side, depending on the wall cabinet size.

The AVENTOS range allows frontals to be lifted up and out of the way, so there's complete visibility and access to cabinets. With variable stops to the mechanisms, the fronts can be set within reach. Or there's the cross-range compatibility with the SERVO-DRIVE motion technology, including tool-free assembly and guided start-up. The lightest of touches is all that is needed to open the front and it closes softly and effortlessly at the press of an easy-to-reach switch.

Quick Summary

  • Compatibility across the range with TIP-ON or BLUMOTION and SERVO-DRIVE technologies
  • Each mechanism comes with a positioning template, removing the need for premeasuring and predrilling when on site
  • Regardless of installation option, the entire range now share one standardised fixing position for the frontals
  • A universal cover cap between the HF top, HS top, and HL top, preventing the need to order or stock multiple cover cap variants.
  • AVENTOS HS top and HL top now also feature a symmetrical lever and can be used in combination with SERVO-DRIVE.
  • AVENTOS HF top is even easier to adjust thanks to its built-in opening angle stop.
  • AVENTOS HS top no longer requires cross stabilisation, so there are less components needed.
