Kitchen and bedroom fitters who've been in the trade for more than a few years are probably familiar with Blum's Standard drawer system, and have fitted more bottom fix runners than the average person has had hot dinners.
Blum's Standard range is an exposed runner system comprising only a few components, designed for easy assembly and robust use. Until recently it was a cost-effective solution for wooden drawer furniture. However the ever-increasing cost of quality steel has now made it expensive to manufacture and its single extension runners are now no match for the higher capacity and option-laden solutions from the rest of the Blum runner system range.
