We're supporting a great young people's charity that's close to our hearts by joining a sponsored hike across the Pennine hills of Saddleworth on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
You've probably heard of the Three Peaks challenges in Yorkshire or the British Three Peaks Challenges across England, Scotland and Wales? Well, an energetic team from HPP is taking part this summer in the Three Peaks of Saddleworth Challenge near Oldham to support Mahdlo Youth Zone, a brilliant centre for youngsters in our local borough.
Dan Mounsey, our marketing manager, is part of the team and said: "On Saturday July 6, we will be climbing local landmark hills called Pots and Pans, Indian's Head and Wharmton Hill for the Three Peaks of Saddleworth Challenge. The route is challenging but rewarded by some incredible views of the town of Oldham, the Pennine hills and valleys, and the villages of Saddleworth.
"Our team will include Matt Barker, Henley Bailey and Mark Staines, all from our Marketing Department; Stuart Hyde and Matt Barber, both from our Purchasing Department; and Shaun Nolan, our national contracts manager.
"We hope our trade customers, contacts, colleagues, friends and families will support our fundraising work with donations.
"Over the years, our company has supported Mahdlo from its start in many ways. We've supported it financially as a corporate sponsor proudly based in the borough of Oldham, and we've offered other support too, such as hosting educational activities and experiences for youngsters at our HQ.
"Recently, we attended Mahdlo's annual Star Awards to celebrate the achievements of young people from many different walks of life. It was a great event and we are proud to support Mahdlo's fantastic work."

Perhaps your business would like to take part too? Registration for the challenge is £20 per walker, which includes a commemorative T-shirt, picnic and refreshments along the route and post-walk barbecue at the Royal George pub. You will also receive support for your fundraising effort.
